Sun
Represents the self, physical body, new beginnings. The male principle; father, brothers, the men in our life, authority figures. Our animus and how well we integrate the male, or yang, element.
Moon
Represents our feelings, emotional nature and ability to nurture. The feminine principle; mother, sisters, the women in our life. Our anima and how well we integrate the feminine, or yin, element.
Mercury
Represents our rational mind and ability to think. How our intellect functions and how we communicate.
Venus
Represents our values and capacity for love. It is the feminine/receiving side of love. Our tastes, artistic sensibilities and sensual nature is found here.
Mars
Represents our drives and goals, our ability to move forward. It is the masculine/aggressive side of love or passion. Our ability to get things done.
Jupiter
Represents our capacity for expansion, joyousness, openness, optimism, enthusiasm generosity and goodwill. It is our hope and faith (or lack thereof). Represents law, legal issues, fairness.
Saturn
Represents our responsibilities, our authority figures and our own authority. Backbone and character is created by this planets influence in our lives.
Uranus
Represents the higher mind, originality, sudden insights (“out of the blue”). Our uniqueness and openness to new thought and changes is indicated here.
Neptune
Represents mystery, intuition, “knowing”, insights – or vagueness, nebulousness, dissolving boundaries. Enlightenment or illusion. Also artistic sensibilities. The occult.
Pluto
Represents transformations in our lives. That which turns our lives upside down and inside out. From birth to death to rebirth and growth. The ways in which our lives are remodeled.
Chiron
Represents the area of our life which is wounded and needs healing. Where we received our initial wounding and where we likely wound others in return.
North Node
Represents our new frontier, where we are heading in our life. What we need to focus on to be fulfilled.
South Node
Represents that which is the most familiar to us, where we have been, – where we can no longer remain.
Part of Fortune
Represents our ray of hope, pointing us to the ultimate prosperity in our destiny. Our “pot of gold” and ideals of joy are found here.
